Remote (Start) Heated Seats & Wheel

(I've got a new V90 CC Ocean Race) Does anyone know if its possible to have the car heat the drivers seat & the steering wheel on remote (engine) start please?

Try as I have, I've been unable to get this to work so far - as the dealer told me it would.

The last suggestion they had (but weren't sure) had for it to work (when I told them it wasn't working) was that the ambient temperature would need to be lower than 15 degrees C.

If that's the case, I'd still need to know what settings to have set to allow this to work i.e. Auto heated or not Auto but set the seat / wheel to on then save the profile to the key and prevent the profile from saved (in case I turned them off during a drive & the profile was updated to not turn them on next time)??

I'd also like to know how to set the interior heat setting for the same scenario.

Apologies if this been answered elsewhere :speechless-smiley-5

Set both steering and seat heat on and set them into your driver profile. Then lock your profile unless you hadn’t done so already, otherwise your next start will be set how you last stopped the car.
Interior temperature defaults are set by the same method.

If your profile is already locked, then there is a tab called something like ‘update profile’ that overwrites the locked profile.

There are settings in sensus (climate settings) to allow the seat and steering heater to come on with engine start, it has to be 9°c or below before they come on, not 15°c.
Mine came on the other morning when taking my grand daughter to school, it was 8°c .

Thanks - but this doesn't work - engine starts, climate is as it was last, heated seat/wheel only comes on when you get in the car (engine already running) and then turn the start-knob...

So the heated seats & wheel comes on when I get in & start the engine as per normal - when the profile says they're always on & profile locked etc - no issue there at all.

The heated seat/wheel don't come on until I turn the start knob.

As you've said though - on remote start - perhaps they only work when the temp has dropped to </=9c

When boxes ticked for seat heat and steering heat to come on with engine start they will only come on automatically if the ambient temperature is 9°c or below with manual engine start or remote start.
You can turn the heaters on manually at anytime when above that temperature. You can also have front and rear screen and mirror heaters come on as well automatically on engine start or remote start, along with cabin heater/aircon at last used setting.
(Again the screen heaters only automatically come on below a certain temperature) dont expect aircon/heater to get very warm in time allowed with remote start though.

This is what it says in your Volvo manual. It works for me>........

It is possible to set whether automatic start of heated seats should be activated/deactivated when the engine is started. With automatic start activated, heating will start in the event of low ambient temperature.

Press Settings in the top view in the centre display.

Press Climate.

Under Auto Driver Seat Heating Level and Auto Passenger Seat Heating Level, select Off,Low,Medium or High in order to activate/deactivate the automatic starting of the heating for the driver and passenger seats and to select the level.
The same works for the steering wheel. Whether you remote start or manually start, it works when the ambient temperature is below a certain level.

And for me, they all just come on automatically when ambient temp is low enough. With manual engine start or remote start.

my heated seats, wheel, front and rear screens come on automatically with remote start BUT the temperature has to be below 10 C

It's the 10 deg C thing that's most important.
