Bought a Focus ST.

Yes indeed I have just bought a very well looked after used Ford Focus ST-3 with its Volvo B5254 T3 engine and M66 gearbox.

It is no coincidence that Marco from MTE is here in London throughout next week and will be working on the car and its electronics, hopefully to create some software upgrades that I can offer to the rapidly growing Focus ST community.

Marco already has some well resolved maps for the S40/V50 T5's and there is already some good hardware such as larger intercoolers etc. for the ST and the Ferrita downpipe and cat back fit both brands.

So, anyone on here thinking about the ST or indeed its Volvo cousins could catch up with us during the week at Power Engineering or on the road arround town.....Marco does most all of his software work on the road with rolling road verifications where neccessary.

Regards, Don.Norchi.

Cool.... I had one of those for a couple of weeks while my T4 was in the bodyshop, it was great fun, very good chassis. The version I had was the ST1 which doesnt have traction control  , but suprisingly wheelspin and torque steer wasn't much of a problem, even in 1st/2nd gear. Loved the brakes too. I had a look on a performance ford forum and a lot of people seem to be saying the standard intercooler is one of the first things you should change if you want more power(?)

Lots of competition out there for this market Don, hope Marco has done his homework :clock: Only joking lol.........good luck with the new venture :) A little birdy tells me the RS version is on the cards for real not just a rumour, 300-400 bhp mentioned and 4wd. Time will tell.

Engineer.

Not hijacking...are you talking about the Holden MONARO? What's the problem (if there is) with the MONARO? Aussie Muscle Cars are HOT!!

Also love the BA Model Ford Falcon. This a 2004 XR8 V8. Can also be purchased as 4.0 litre Turbocharged I6.

However, if you REALLY WANT SOME GRUNT FROM AN I6, this is the car for you. I'd have one in an instant...if only I had the dough!!!

didn't they say all that about the Focus RS, make 5-6 mad prototypes & get everyone excited then basically disapoint everyone once they came off the production line

would the 6 cog box out the Focus fit onto a 850?

Surely, where there's a will there's a way.

You got plans???

Make it work.
