122S “restored” by Salvage Hunters on Quest last night

Hi all,
Did anyone what Salvage Hunters:Classic Cars last night on Quest (Sky 831). They restored a early 122S (1961?). I will be interested to see what you guys think, especially the wheels. Paid £5,000 for it, spent £4,000 and want to sell at £13,995. Reg SFF 235.
Currently for sale on Car and Classic

Aahh so that's why they ended the programme without revealing a final price.

It's a nice example but a 4 door, l've got a 67 2 door with original rubber carpets and only ever had lower fluted rear quarter panels and new inner wings and outer wings, been stored for 27 years in a home garage and l've done pretty much everything they did on the programme,no rust, clutch, brakes, engine rebuild, suspension rebuild, new sports exhaust BUT not a 122s and l've got it insured for £10,000..............am l missing something.?

If it's a red 2 door it could be worth up to £15,000! Apparently, they are the most desirable model.

I don’t think they did themselves any favours, bought it tarted it up, called it a resto and want to nick 5k off it. Yes it’s old but desirable, I’m not sure. There are better models out there for much less. But as always I’m sure someone will love it and part with more than they need to to own it. Depends what your after though

Can't believe it. I bought my son one of those for £300. He had it for a month before writing it off! He would be rather sick if he were to see your post.
I had a cxhat with Tony Whitton last summer when such things were discussed and this is where I learned of the 2 door, red, Amazon. Mine is a blue, four door and worth a few thousand less! Apparently. But it's not for sale.

Did anyone catch the name of the company that silver painted the boot handle? I'm about to buy a similar handle and thought maybe give these guys a go - but can't remember who they are!
