Mud flaps
Being new to this, I may be barking up the wrong tree...but my 940 seems a bit ‘empty’ underneath, was there ever a mudflap option? Do Volvo make them?
Or am I an idiot? |
Volvo made front and rear mud flaps and they are still available new. They come with a choice of screws (slightly longer than the existing) or rivets for fixing.

Think they're still available from the dealers. They're quite subtle compared to the earlier 740 'rally style' ones.

VOC discount works at my dealer. I needed to show my membership card initially but they know me now. Amount of discount varies depending on the item being bought. There’s a Dealers List guide near the back of the Driver mag.

Brilliant, thanks all.
The VOC thing, how much is membership as I’m sure just being a member of this forum doesn’t qualify does it? |
VOC Membership
This links to the Club's membership page:
https://www.volvoclub.org.uk/membership.shtml The initial membership is £35, and £30p.a. thereafter. And yes, the Forum is independent of the VOC itself. |
Pointless joining the voc really.
If on facebook get on the 240, 740 and 940 owners group, very active. https://www.facebook.com/groups/23765538560/ There's also a 700 900 uk group but not as active. https://www.facebook.com/groups/190705174782001 |
I'm a big fan of mud flaps on the emptiness front lol.
My Volvo ones tend to scrape at the back on some ramps with the normalish lowering, but they are held on well. The front ones use plastic coated rivets and are a bit tricky to get on securely, and also hold the bottom of the wing on. Its annoying they didn't use a proper metal panel screw hole. |
