S60 Service Costs

Hi all, I just wondered if anyone could advise on how much they are paying for servicing on their S60. I have a 2011 S60 D5 SE LUX which is due its 2nd yr service at around 30,000 miles. My local main dealer are quoting in the region of £500 which seems a bit excessive!

Well done for being so polite. I don't think I would have managed that based on a quote that size. I can't help with the answer though I'm afraid, my own car is up for its first service next month so I am in the same boat as you. I am likely to go for a local independent dealer.

Hmm, that does seem a tad excessive.

I would at least ask for discount, a break down of the parts price, if it is anything like mine I bet a good percentage is oil. Buy it yourself and get them to use your oil after checking they will allow this - save me £30/40 every time, asking for discount another amount think last time I got £70 odd off (minor service). Then the headlight bulb went which was another £10. Ha!
