XC60 Delivery Delay
 

Hi all,

My first post!

Had put down deposit for a new build XC60 in December, expecting a March 1st delivery.

Just been told it’s been delayed and no delivery date is available.

Anyone else having similar issues?

Placed a deposit in january with a south coast dealer for an april delivery.
2 weeks later and delivery delayed possibly until june.
Cancelled and have now ordered for a march delivery with a midlands dealer.
No contact from dealer to say any delays as yet.

Placed an order 10th Feb 18 for an XC60 was initially advised delivery early / mid May
now 5 week in and have been told the Volvo XC60 Order’s are still in a pool awaiting acceptance from Volvo - with no indication of a delivery date what so ever.
Currently in a bad PCP deal with Audi and need to hand car back ASAP as it is in negative equity. - Why cant Volvo give delivery dates, sales manager told me with the new launch of the new XC40 and V60 they hadn't anticipated such demand !!!!!

We have nationwide issue in Japan re: XC60 D4. Customers for the first lot for Japan all placed an order by mid-Nov. & paid deposit of significant amount. Delivery was told to be around mid-March. However, NO official annuncement has been made and only vague communication came from the importer, Vovlo Car Japan, in mid-Feb that "Delivery is delayed. It might be end-Apr or early-May but not sure." That's it.

We know the cars are already at the Toyohashi port in Japan but they just say they can not register & deliver... Rumour says that type certification of the D4 model is denied by the Government agency. Very misteriously, many people all over the country have been trying to get an answer from the importer, Volvo Car Japan, why it is suddenly delayed but they never tell anything.

I DO hope that it is NOT due to yet another diesel thing...And extremely dishonest & disrespectful attitude of Volvo Car Japan will be improved.

Recieved an email this week from Volvo stating my XC 60 had now started being built :-)

Is it a MY19 or MY18.5 XC60?

MY18.5 , due for delivery to dealer this coming week

Picked up my first volvo and it’s an xc60.
Very,very impressed with the vehicle, moved from an X1 bmw to an r design xc60.
The 120 mile drive back home was effortless.

XC60 - delivery delay
 

Hello, I was expecting delivery of my new XC60 at the end of March.
I have been given a Reg number and told that the car is in the UK awaiting customs checking before transportation to the dealer.
However, apparently Volvo Cars UK will not confirm actual delivery date to the dealership and even when I contacted Volvo Cars UK directly yesterday they could not confirm anything.

What is the problem?
