Hello again Krazy Ken. Have a look at your other post. It basically says that te fascias show up on ebay quite often. Another useful item is prewired adaptor flyleads that convert the Volvo head unit plugs to ISO standard plugs.

Go to a scrapyard and find an x40 with a single din headunit, and take the cubby hole that sit underneath it. Its interchangable, and can be fitted in either the lower or upper slot but you might have to 'modify' the little plastic tabs slightly.

I got mine from the dealers mate. Not too expensive and makes it look very natural rather than these aftermarket kits.

Fascias and leads

What you need is an FP-006 and a PC2-37-4!! (Autoleads part number) You can get these from Halfords, Motorworld or many independant radio specialists. It is basically a single din pocket and the fly lead that converts the Volvo plug into a standard ISO lead. Your stereo will then plug straight in!!

You shouldn't have any problems but let me know if you do, as i like to get feedback!!
Cheers

Andy

No disrespect to andym and his advice, but personally I would highly recommend getting the pocket from th dealers because I had the autoleads pocket and it was crap. Looked very cheap and rattled. The volvo one was very nice and looked like part of the car.

Sorry andym. not trying to rubbish what you said. I just reckon the volvo part is way better. The autoleads iso lead is spot on though. I've got one of those. :)

I have to agree, I bought an autoleads one and it was sh*te, it's a generic part for several cars and mine kept falling out and didn't fit very well. In the end I got a second hand original part and it was cheaper than the autoleads one!

No, i do agree they are a bit to universal!! To say it politley! You'll probably be surprised as to how many cars they list them for!! It is hard to get a good fit especially when the stereo is fitting above it, but there are newer ones out there that fit a whole lot better.

As was said though the leads are good!

Thats the problem I had. The actual lenght of the pcket was too short and the front lip would not clip on. I actually broke the clip on the dash which did my nut in lol. All sorted once the volvo one went in thankfully hehe.
