HU 850 and Aftermarket Radios
Hi all hope this is in the right place it’s my first post
Admin move if not correct please Right got the usual random on/off problem with my HU 850 I’ve been told it’s not practical to repair it and the prices of secondhand ones I just wouldn’t pay The CD works fine all day long but not the radio so I do have a new old stock Sony player. Thing is nobody seems to either want to fit or can’t fit another stereo the Sony I have is a WX9800T with a 16 pin plug and 6 RCA for audio out and aerial Got lots of questions before I go ahead and try myself here goes:- What cables would I need? I’m thinking Volvo to iso and iso to Sony plus RCA to din for the audio How would I connect the two din plugs on the Volvo to a new stereo? What are the two din plugs on the Volvo actually for? Should I just leave it altogether and just use the CD player. The car is a V70 2005 D5 btw Thanks |
I know you say it's been said it's not worth repairing the old unit but I can vouch for this company http://www.caraudiorepairspecialists.co.uk
Used them last year to repair my father's Suzuki combined Radio CD unit when it would hold CD's ransom then turn from CD to Radio on its own. I used a postal service but they're not too far from Bury. Might be worth an ask to save wasting time, money and effort/frustration on fitting the aftermarket unit. |
Just sent an email thanks 37Ruby
