XC90 T5 towable mass - Braked trailer only 750kg?
 

Discovered something bizarre on my V5C:

Both unbraked and braked trailer limitations are 750kg.

See attached photo. Does not make any sense?

Common on hybrids

Check the manual and then apply to dvla for a correction if it is wrong (all it take s is a dopey admin bod at dealer to mess up when registering the vehicle first time on dvla database)

Should be 2700kg.

I've just done a quick google search and found 2400kg as the maximum towing capacity for a 2019 XC90 T5 (braked trailer).

Check in the specification list, ask your dealer and then tell DVLA to correct your V5C, as someone has said, it's only as accurate as the info provided to them at the time of registration on the V55 by the dealer.

It isnt just 750kg for the T8 though is it?

Would have to check with a dealer but looks like it has decent towing ability

According to the manual, the towing capacity for braked trailer should be 2400 kg for XC90 T5 (engine code B4204T20/T23/T26).

Not ideal, but more than adequate.

Exactly as I found at #4 above, I would consider asking DVLA for a corrected V5 just to keep everything accurate.

My V5 also shows 750kg for both braked and unbraked trailers.

On my V5 both the Braked and Un-braked towable mass of a trailer are Blank.

So I can tow as much as I want :)
