Unplugged connector - 2004 XC90 D5 SE Geartronic
 

Can anybody please help identify where this connector might be plugged in to?

It extends from the loom next to the air box on a 2004 XC90 D5 SE Geartronic.

Might be for connecting the Flux Capacitor?

That if I'm not mistake is the factory wired in plug for install auxiliary lights. They dropped it from later models, but handy on the earlier ones.

Refer to page 14 in the instruction you can see the connector.

I can confirm that is the connector for the Auxiliary Lamps loom

Add a switch, add a relay, add a fuse and you can have aux lamps.
But they only work on high beam.
