You may have read in the 2007 rip thread that my aux drive belt also shredded and caused the timing belt to jump causing catastrophic damage to the head.
I have removed the head and sourced a replacement . I'm struggling a little on how to synchronize the 2 camshafts I've tried google but only come up with how to change the timing belt. So if anyone can shed some light on the matter I'd be very grateful |
from memory there are two little dots on the faces of cogs which line up with each other when they are in sync...

That's **** with your engine....
Doesn't VIDA have instructions? Sorry, can't look, PC is out in the car and it's dark and rainy and... ;) :D |

Thanks for the info guys ....
Apologies for my ignorance but as I've only had vida set up onto car once and know very little about navigating through it . Can I just use the tablet with it on as a stand alone unit or does it have to be connected to the car ? As I've got the battery disconnected with taking the cylinder head off |
Yes VIDA will work standalone.

thanks for replies guys ive managed to find the relevant section and it has the info i need . but as the head i bought off ebay has to go back (see my post in RIP2007) ive spent some time cleaning all the gunk out of the intake system.
when i eventually [if] i get it going again it should be able to breath a lot better and maybe give a little more M.P.G |
What did you use to clean the gunk? Looks great!
