Help for replacing fuel pump for 2000 XC V70 AWD

Help!!!
I have a 2000 XC V70 AWD that has been hurting us with repairs. I need to see if replacing the fuel pump is manageable for an intermediate level "Do it your selfer". I have a good set of tools and jacks and stands. I also have a Haynes Owners Workshop Manual. The directions and pictures appear helpful.

#1. Any additional step by step advice or suggested "how to" source would
be greatly appreciated.
#1. A new Volvo fuel pump is $550.00, plus Dealer shop time. Is it worth
the risk of installing a used $150.00 pump? The source for this used
pump is Chapman Used Volvo Parts - Vancouver Island. They have been
helpful in past.

Many thanks

take the drivers side rear seat upright out and take the rear bench out, you need two mole grips and two flat bladed screw drivers the turn the but splined nuts over the fuel pump and the sender on the passenger side, i made a special tool to prevent snapping the spline lugs off-not too hard to make but needs two 18mm square bars approx 100mm long and a flat plate etc welded onto the two bars to hold them the correct width

think the outside edges are 120/130mm across to fit in the splines
(it'll become clearer when you take the two silver plates off under the seats (4 10mm nuts to get each plate off)

Are you saying to remove all the rear seats and the pump will be on the passengers side of the car.
Where exactly is the pump
