Flogged it...
Following on from Binty's post - I've also sold my XC90 after 6 years.
In many ways it's been the best car I have ever owned, certainly the most reliable, seeing the new owner drive it away felt like waving off your kids going on a years travelling rather than selling an old car. It's been part of the family rather than an appliance. I did want to keep it but I have much less time these days to spend maintaining, servicing and MOT'ing a small fleet. Plus it's not a cheap car to insure or tax. I still believe that the XC90 was one of the very best attempts at in SUV in the day, as an overall package to own and run they're hard to beat. I have a particular affinity for the 163 E3 cars for their sublime smooth drive and quietness. Also ultra capable - I have in the past used mine to tow a Defender out of a muddy field. I would have got another one but I really like having a DAB radio and I really like the Sensus system so since November I've had a 2015 XC60 as my daily driver. I'll still be posting on here though as I know some parts of these cars fairly well and if I can help others get the best of of theirs then I'm happy to do that. I haven't posted much in the XC60 section yet as in 7 months and 16k miles it hasn't put a foot wrong... |

Thanks for all your help Tannaton
I know the feeling, I had 'trucky' for 8 years. longer than ever car I have owned. I actually sold it two years ago then told the buyer not to come as I could not let it go.
They get a place in your life that is hard to let go, I do miss her already. Crazy thoughts for a piece of metal.... |
Lucky new owner !!! .... a well cared for and loved XC90 ..... worth a lot of money on the open market !
