Recommended bonnet struts?
 

My 2006 2.5 Petrol XC90 has got cold induced failing bonnet struts. Any one recommend good quality, preferably European made, replacements - at a good price. I think most of the cheapies on ebay will be cheap far eastern copies.

Go OEM original Volvo. Not expensive. Good quality. Will fit perfectly.

Apparently UK made, 2 year guarantee. They fitted easily and still working well.

Stabilus are more than likely the OEM manufacturer. They are top quality and can be purchased considerably cheaper than Volvo struts.

I used SGS re-gas service of a load (14) of small struts from my motorhome.

They were for the non-critical job of holding open overhead locker doors so I didn't want to pay the OEM price from Germany. (From memory - and you don't forget a price like this - it was about £1,000)

The SGS re-gas worked perfectly and was MUCH less expensive than new struts.

I fitted Meyle ones last year and they have been fine. I got mine from EBay.
