V50 2.0 D Weierd issue with starting the car.

It is a weird one and happen for me twice.

When I open the car from the key usually you can see miles, clock etc. but on this occasion everything was gone from dashboard and when I turned key in ignition nothing happen no lights and engine did not start nor even trying to start.

When I went out from the car pressed close and open again everything back to normal other then a clock it was not showing as like battery were unplugged / plugged back.

Have you tryd to clean the cem, passenger side under the glove box look like a fuse box disconnect plugs and clean with cleaning solution plug everything back in that usually solves a lot of issues

Yes, as VikingV50 wrote, in any random electronic issue, CEM is the first thing to check. Also, check your battery age.

Thank you I will try both. May as well be the battery on the key but will cleaning CEM and will see if this is better sorted.

Think the suggestion was the vehicle battery. The battery in the key can go flat and the car will still start it just won't open the doors with the remote. The car is started/authenticated by an RFID chip that isn't powered in the tip of the key.
