S90 wait times
 

hello all, coming to Volvo after 10 years of various BMW's and have ordered a D4 S90 Inscription Pro on 20/12 and have been given a delivery date of June. I must admit I was slightly shocked by that lead-time.
I this usual??

Thats normal, the S90 is built in China and takes forever to ship across Europe by train.

V90 and XC90 still made in Sweden and about 12 weeks.

This will be my first Volvo, I have a S90 momentum plus on order via Lex and I believe the order was placed at the end of May (our cars are handled by an appointed person within the company so responses are often vague. I have been given a delivery date of October / November. A colleague ordered one a few weeks later and he has just been given Jan / Feb. After reading some of the horror stories here, what are the chances of getting a delivery around 5 months?

Sounds familiar. I put an order in for a 2020 model S90 Momentum without options and was quoted a six month wait, then an eight month wait, and then a nine-month wait. The S90 is a popular car given the great contract hire deals available. I decided to go for a 19.5 model and got it within 3 weeks.

It takes 6 weeks to get the car from the factory to UK on the train ...
