airbag service urgent,engine service required

Posted a question last week with regards to a warning stating engine service required, which came on during a 30 mile trip stayed on for about 2 miles then went off. same thing happened on Monday on trip to legoland, stayed on for about 5 miles then went off, car ran fine etc, so i booked it in our local garage, ( general garage, but very good and reliable), My wife waited and they took it out said it drove fine so no point putting it on daignostic, but she insisted, so they took it in workshop and about 5 mins later they came out and said that the warning light had come on with the message, airbag service required, urgent and this has stayed on ever since, it is now booked into a local volvo independent dealer in Charlwood, to read the codes. Is this a coincidence or does anyone think they may have triggered the code as i read on previous threads that possible electrical work could cause this. As for the engine service required, hopefully the code reader will pick this up, any thoughts please as if the warning was triggered by them they can foot the bill for resetting it. Thanks all.

It's notoriously easy to get the SRS warning to come on, and it doesn't go away until reset either with the correct diagnostic kit or the dealer. The message was triggered on mine when a guy fixing my handfree kit unplugged the aircon panel. No fault with the airbag itself though. Get them to reset it.

FYI, the diagnostic kit at the dealer is perfectly capable of resetting this error.

been to Charlwood volvo, excellent service, turns out that the other garages code reader caused loads of fault codes, which have all been clear, but the engine service light turned out to be a vaccum engine mounting, which as runs on the same pump as the turbo, the sensor are picking it up. Going to cost around 200 to fix. He also explained about the RICA tuning as they do it and the impressive figures that should be achieved. Cost about 400. Anyone had this service and does it do what its made out to do.
