S90 - how rare?
 

Hi, I ordered my S90 (D4 R-design, black) two weeks ago and I'm counting the days until I pick it up.
Whenever I've ordered a car in the past, I suddenly start to spot them everywhere; but despite looking out for one I haven't seen an S90 on the road since then at all.

So how unusual are they - I can't find any numbers on sales figures but it feels like they are rare enough that I should wave at other S90 drivers if I ever pass one.

I've only seen a handful since getting mine in May last year, either up and down the A46 or on the M25.. but no more than I can count on both hands. They're a rarity right now. I thought I'd be seeing more now the Germans have fixed the rail links, but seems not.

I have spotted two in the last week, one in Heswall and one in Liverpool. They are incredibly handsome cars on the road.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for - I found a similar site but hadn't been updated since 2015 so wasn't much help.
By my maths, there's not more than 1500 SPA S90s on the UK roads? That's a bit different from any of my previous cars (Yeti, Leon, A3, Civic etc)

There's a fair chance if I drive past another one it will be someone from these forums then! :thumbs_up:

I passed a black one on the M1 near Woodall on Friday and he was was displaying the classic symptoms of someone texting in their lap. Drifting out of lane, looking down at their crotch, irregular speed......

So if he is on this forum then may I make my disapproval felt!

I like them too, but a number of people have commented on how they don't like the lights at the back......

Ordered mine in September...still waiting.

I have only seen one in Brussels and one in the UK (Walton on Thames) since then, and only 3 V90s.

I haven’t been a fan of the rear lights on any of the SPA models apart from the XC90. I don’t see why they need to go all the way across the tailgate like that!

My barber tells me he has one.
