Alternatively use an air impact wench on it to shock it free. Good luck with it Mark! |

I'll have another few attempts and if that fails it's off to my mates garage for the impact wrench |

Mine will now be sadly scarred for life after the abuse it's received in the last hour :shocked:

Those nuts are tightened to 74lb/ft and then 45 degrees more Mark so they're "FT". I used the 3/4" socket set and 6' scaffold pole on mine, you'd probably get away with a 1/2" socket set and a 4' scaffold pole.
Once they're loose, the rest is fairly easy but the bearings were expensive with a capital "F", i was lucky and found some on fleabay, NOS for £3 each + £10 each P&P but that was a long while back now. |

Do you have access to an impact driver?

They are on the limit of a 1/2inch drive bar. My bar flexes doing these and feels ready to snap but it has survived 20 odd of these in the last year.
