Spoiler

Will a spoiler off an 850 saloon fit my 940? Been looking at images and I didn't realise just how similar the two models are.

I imagine it would, with some minor modifications to mount it properly/neatly - after all they are both basically rectangles with wheels

BTW i have an 850 style spoiler which is supposedly designed to fit the 940 from ebay germany.

Since i'm now selling my 940 PM me if you are interested - I can test fit it on mine if you want.

Sorry, just spotted the saloon part - ignore the bottom bit (mine is an estate)

Does it have a part number on it at all? Might be interested for mine.

Re the OPs original question, the S90, 960 and 940 boot spoilers are all the same, not sure on the 850.

That link covers the 7/9xx models. This link covers the 850 (and others) but the part numbers are different for the boot spoilers :

Lots of toys available, at least when new! ;) :D

No the 850 ones are about 2 inches too short.

I have an 850 one in my parents' shed that I got to fit to my 940 - but it just won't fit - even with custom brackets.

Cheers

I got one from a v90 which I'm hoping to attach to my 760 with some sort of adhesive to avoid driving the tailgate, anybody done this before?

Cheers ben

Damn, thanks for the definitive answer though.

Why not sell the V90 spoiler on ebay and buy a 940/960 roof spoiler for your 760?

The V90 is narrower at the top than the 7/9xx estates so the spoiler will be as well. Also i'm not sure there will be room for the spoiler when you open the tailgate - worth double-checking!

Any chance you could do me a favour and photograph it on the boot or next to the actual 940 spoiler please?

My mate is a classic car panel beater and he could probably extend it to fit if it is the right shape.

Sorry mate don’t have my 940 anymore - and haven’t seen a 940 saloon anywhere for about 5 months!
Also the spoiler is fibre glass or plastic so not entirely sure it could be beaten into shape :)

Cheers
