XC90 oil leak ID competition with photo
 

Hi,

I was snooping around the engine looking for a reason for the a noise...

Found an oil leak in a hard to reach place. I’m trying to identify a likely cause. The leak seems to be “around” a small rubber hose that connects to the back of the EGR valve. That was certainly very wet when I eventually got to it.

Further investigation looks like it needs significant destruction, so I’m wondering if this is a known problem or not?....

The view is from the RHS of the engine looking left with the filter box removed. The leak is above the black braided hose.

I got another view. It looks like the leak is above the pipe. It’s sort of “spread” over the parts above...

Silver pipe with oil mark is on the bottom. The view attached is rotated.
