Headlight control problem
 

Having just bought a second hand V70 mk 3 2012.I find that there is an annoying fault in the headlight control.In the daylight running setting position O Automatic Daylight Running.Main beam can be flashed but the main beam remains on which is contrary to what is expected.This fact is wrong and unless noticed causes annoyance to other road users


Has anyone got any suggestions how to tackle this problem?

Xenon or incandescent bulbs?
