How to disable stop-start?

A question from a non owner if I may...

Can the start-stop be easily switched off? I noticed on an advert pic it's one of the icons on the "car functions" screen. And if it can be switched off there, does it revert to on every time the engine is restarted?

Thanks:)

Volvo's Start / Stop system can only be switched off from the Sensus screen and only remains off until you switch of the engine, when you restart it is activated again.

Volvo claim it is due to the emissions legislation.

One way to "turn it off" is to do a number of short journeys - the Volvo charging system is so poor it cannot keep the battery charged to such a level as to allow the S/S system to function:regular_smile::regular_smile:

Set up an individual driving mode that includes start/stop as "off" - you can set everything else to be the same as Comfort/Eco etc if you want. Then you just need to double-tap the driving mode button to select Individual before you move off - easier than fiddling about with the touchscreen options.

Yes it's on the same row as the hazard lights and window heating buttons, you can't miss it.
