Complete car for sale

Quite simply, needs welding to pass MOT. In every other respect its a clean runner. Better than that it runs on LPG as well as petrol which has a number of advantages - cleaner running and more economical. It has leather front seats, alloy wheels, reconditioned bonnet, two new wings and the windscreen scuttle was professionally refurbished not long back.

When cleaned up, it looks great. There are other factors, but message me if you are interested and I'll talk you through where we are with it.

Very comprehensive maintenance record.

Currently on classic car insurance at £4000. Sensible offers considered.

PS shed load of useful bits included if price is good - new clutch, windscreen etc.

I will supply pictures later.

Lamborghini? Trabant? Volvo?

As Derek said what exactly are you selling? Photos and a price along with a full description help massively. There's no way a rusty 300 series is worth anywhere near 4k too, if it needs welding to pass an MOT you're looking at 1k tops really.

In fairness to Joe, he is not asking £4K. He is inviting offers for a car, which, as I understand it, he has insured for an agreed value at that figure.

I agree that rust can be a problem on the 3-series - it spelt the end of my late MIL's otherwise good '83 360 GLE in '02. Having owned an '86 360 GL and an '87 1.7 GLE saloon (a very underated car IMO), neither of which was rusty at 10 - 12 years old, I would also be interested to know the specification of Joe's car.

If Volvo had produced a 2.0 auto, I would have had one like a shot. I didn't particularly like the CVT on the 1.4, which I always felt was a little under powered.

I hope that Joe is successful in finding a good home for his car through the medium of the forum.

Regards, John.
