2008 XC90 Executive - Heated Rear Seat mystery
I set out to try to fix my rear heated seats, having been told that one of my kids had kicked the central console and that the seat heaters didn't work anymore....took off the console, and it appears that the seat heater cabling is completely unplugged....with nothing to plug it into at all.
After a little diagnostic work, I established that most of the wiring is for the central console 'fridge' (which we have barely used - but still works fine), and that the four square contacts when you snap the console back into place only actually seems to power the cigarette lighter in the back of the console....but there is just a single, loose connector which appears to go to the two heater switches - with nothing evident that it has been disconnected. Utterly bizarre! Any guidance or clues as to what else to look for please... |
The wiring is really simple: power to the switches, and then leads to the rear seat heaters
The wiring diagram shows it all, do you have a copy? |
Thanks for the response. I don't have a copy of the wiring diagram, do you please?
The problem is that there just doesn't appear to be anything to actually plug the power lead in to. Does that make sense? |
