No Heating

Hello, I have 2005 V70, and have no heating. Blower is working, You can change positions ( screen, body, legs) but no heat. I spoke with my local garage and he said probably heater matrix is blocked. so I took the hoses off, and flush it with garden hose. the water was coming through. Put coolant, went for spin.... but still the same. When I touch the hoses in engine bay, one is hot the other one not. I took plastic cover off in cabin and touched the heater matrix, cold!! Have no idea what is wrong. Any idea guys?? Thank You Michal

Could be the thermostat, could be the radiator might even be the water pump.
What's the temperature gauge showing?

Water pump was changed last year with cam belt, temperature is exactly in the middle, so looks good to me...

Just as a caution, what brand was the water pump? We usually don't change it until 200k miles and all times one failed it's has been an aftermarket replacement part.

That said, your were touching the two hoses that go into the firewall? If one it's cold perhaps air is trapped inside the heater ? Other than that it would be the water pump doesn't circulate the coolant. The dividing walls inside the heater can break causing less heat through the vents, but the coolant will still flow through it and will return through the second hose which would still be warm/hot
