1967 Amazon 4dr Saloon Mot/Tax 86k

Very nice Amazon with lots of history, all MOTs from 1976. (Save 2 when SORNed) Mot/Tax until end March 2009.
Less than 1k per year since then.
Excellent condition and well above average.
Many bills including engine rebuild in the last 18 months. (£314 for engine parts from Brookhouse Volvo 14/06/07, for example)

Mechanically very good, interior also, but a perfectionist would say paintwork is getting a little tired and tyres have some tiny cracks in side-walls. (New spare) Very nice for a 41 year old though!!

Chrome is very good and also has Volvo tow bar fitted.
Comes with soft cover and unused Belstaff Waterproof cover.
It was always kept under cover by the previous owner of 7 years.
The cover was only used to protect the paint from their cat!

Has workshop manuals and a scrapbook with numerous photos, show history etc.
Was treated by the previous (deceased) owner as his baby.
Car is located in Gloucester and viewing is welcomed at anytime.

Be pleased to answer any questions and provide more photos.
This car was offered on here a couple of months ago, but removed because of prospective buyers interest which didn't in the end materialise, because of the credit crunch presumably. Personally I think a classic car is a better thing to put your money into right now than any bank!

What a lovely car, Looks like a bargain to me. Just out of interest where abouts in gloucester are you?

elevhem Oct 30th, 2008 17:27

Nice of you to say so.
I live in Hucclecote, on the south side, and the Amazon has been in the area since at least 2001.

Now sold, but I leave the pics here for now.
Thanks for all the interest.

Certainly looks a nice car and a bargain for the price so no wonder a trader bought it and marked it up!

More than doubling the price is a bit harsh though. Takes it out of the price range of the true enthusiasts who deserve to own and cherish such a car.

I think the trader has gone a bit starry eyed.
Any one with sense will see that is a lot of money for the car, very nice as it is.
Mind you it puts the `value`of my car in a different light!

Agreed - I think you underpriced it and the dealer has gone to the other extreme!

Does anyone know whether this car has overdrive or not? I'm looking for an Amazon at present, but have a car that I need to get rid of first. Thought I might see whether this trader would be as generous with his trade-ins as he is with his own pricing.

that has been on ebay for over a month now...will never reach £4k...£2.5 maybe. £1750 was well priced....now an estate on the otherhand.

Thought this looked familiar.

I think it's surfaced again here:

e-bay dealer website

This time it's at £3,995
