From his other threads, Spudd is having serious issues with his replacement vehicle so I'll respond on his behalf ( and hopefully save you some time) The XC he was breaking did have an HU850 and I bought it!
Sorry, but at least you can get on with looking elsewhere for a replacement while Spudd gets on with fettling his 'new' car.

I may have a HU 850 (mini disc/cd one) from a 2006 car for sale and I'm only 40 minutes or so minutes from Cambridge. May or may not work, there was only sound from centre speaker when I bought the car. Probably isn't the head unit at fault, but haven't tested it. Feel free to come round and we can pop it in your car to see if it works.

Car is an import though, so not sure where that leaves you with the radio.

Spudd - does the breaking car have the isofix bar for the back seats? I'd be interested.
