Volvo 440 celebrates 30th Anniversary
 

The Volvo 440 was presented for the first time in June 1988. This was a five-door family car that shared its technology with the 480 sports coupé. Volvo now demonstrated in earnest that front-wheel drive was the way forward.

Always loved these, have the 480 on my list of cars to have some day. Think they were the first car to take Volvo away from their square boxy 80s image. They've all but vanished now, can't remember when I last saw a mk1 or mk2 440!
