Wheel Nuts V50
Hi,
Half a dozen nuts are now worn and rounded off (the soft outer casing) that is, Is there any other vehicle that may have the exact same nuts ? As volvos are like hens teeth in breakers yards in my area. Regards. |
Ford Focus of the same era, but suggest you do as I did and just get some proper old fashioned style 19mm steel nuts (with rounded end for mating into wheel recess) as the Volvo ones are hopeless. For aesthetics, you can then put chrome plastic covers over the nuts.
P.S. I could sell you the nuts off my car, although you'd have to take the rest of the car with them :) |
I've had these on for years with no issues
eBay item number:320777824895. Replaced mine as the soft caps were damaged. Link is for four but same seller has packs of twenty. |
how many do you want?
ive some spares, used, but in good condition that i keep meaning to put on ebay sometime genuine volvo ones that came with the car |
I have just bought and fitted 4 of these, same sort of thing but £1 cheaper for 4. Fitted them without issue, once I had removed the locking nuts.....

Just a quicky.....my v50 handbook says........
Aluminium rims – bulge acorn wheel nuts. Only use the bulge acorn variety of nuts with aluminium rims. These differ markedly from other nut types as they have a rotating conical washer. WARNING Never use standard nuts for aluminium rims. The wheels can come loose. |

Might still have some new ones sitting in my garage but not 20!
The main issue I found is using 12 point sockets as it rounds them off. A decent hex socket won't damage the nuts |
