Perished rubber sealing on sunroof
 

I have a 2017 XC90 T8. I took it in to be serviced and showed them that the sealing around the sunroof was perishing, only to be told it was mice. See attached images. Has anyone else had this issue? Please see attached images.
The same has happened to the rubber catch on the electric charging point.

I would find a chartered independent automotive engineer to look at that split rubber and give you a report, then if he agrees its not mice, then talk to Volvo customer support. I have seen a lot of mice damage to rubbers and plastic and that does not look like mice gnawing damage, their teeths action do not make longitudinal splits like that. .

Thats because its a bird such as a Magpie......
