Electronic handbrake
 

Has anyone had this problem and do volvo know about it because it's a bad expensive one , the plastic that holds on the electronic handbrake motor has deteriorated around the bolts and broke off

Yeah happened to me and I got new units from PFS parts instead of Volvo as was quick turnaround.

Eurocarparts sell new calipers with the motors attached, but I couldn't get them in the timeframe I needed at the time.

Both aftermarket units work perfectly, and feel like they fit & seal better than the previous Volvo units.

Thanks cant seem to find just the handbrake part will probably need to buy whole lot as I take it the rubber seal should be renewed as with the two bolts that hold it on cheers

Ah they may be out of stock of just the motor. They definitely used to sell them about a year ago!

Might be worth giving them a call tomorrow and asking them. They were really helpful and managed to get two delivered the next day for me.
