My 850 filling with water! Argh!

Hi all, I think I have a fairly common problem...

The front foot wells in my 850 are filling with rain water. I noticed the scuttle by the wipers was pooling with rain water and though I'd cured the issue when I found the drain tubes blocked up- I've temporarily disconnected them so the water can flow out of the scuttle.

The flooding became much less severe but I then noticed water dripping from the bottom of the A pillar trims on both sides! Sunroof drains were checked, blown through with an air line and now seem to drain water nicely to the area behind the front wings and onto the ground.

Heavy rain overnight has caused the drivers side carpet to become absolutely sodden. There's also a wet patch behind the sun visor on the roof lining.

Any advice on the next step? It's driving me crackers and I don't want to tape my sunroof shut!

I had a problem for years that I could not trace. It completely went away after I started parking on level ground (before I was on a steep slope - front down).

I would remove the A pillar trim and release the headlining by the screen and check the fitting of the drain tubes to the sunroof cassette. My son had a similar issue on his V50 and although the drain tubes were clear the rubber join between the tube and cassette was perished/loose.

Good call there- The next step is going to be dropping the roof lining to see what's going on with the drain connections.
