1. What sort of condition are the front wings in, please?

2. Would they fit a 1984 240 GLT without problems?

3. Is the NSF strut in good nick?

4. Would it fit the GLT without problems?

Thanks Antz.

David.

Bit of rust on the bottoms as expected with these but no holes. I always say though, if in doubt, buy new. I wouldnt be able to post them to Aberdeen either.

2. Would they fit a 1984 240 GLT without problems? Yes

3. Is the NSF strut in good nick? Sorry both are old.

4. Would it fit the GLT without problems? Yes they would. You need post 83 struts with the larger spindle and they will be a direct swap.

Thanks Antz.

David.

Hi David,

See above for answers :)

Its still on the car. Everything is on the car to be honest. I've got a knackered ankle right now so I havent started stripping it like I had hoped.

Would still pass a MOT in Romania....

Shame it's the end for it now, but least its parts being recycled!

Its quite rusty in places and requires more work and money to pass an MOT than its worth. The parts will help others live and nothing will be wasted, I assure you that!

A VERY small part, but I need one of the little paddles that clip I to the rotary heater controls...one of my four is missing! I'm pretty sure that they will pull out/unclip with some persuasion.

Such a piddly little part I know, but my car is frustratingly incomplete without it!!

If you can supply please let me know.

I do still have it. Its a 5 speed manual but I'd rather sell it as a complete manual conversion kit for someone with an automatic car.

240ratrod Mar 19th, 2019 20:23

Hi,
Do you have the fuel level sender unit with in tank pump?
Trying to finish my turbo conversion and with the car being originally carburetted I'm stuck without an injection set up at the tank.
Thanks, Matt.

skidje Mar 20th, 2019 06:21

Do you have a clutchpedal with hydraulics available?

Sorry it was rusted solid. You can buy a new sender unit from Brookhouse Volvo. I'd also recommend a new lock ring, seal and a Walbro 255 in tank pump rather than a stock OEM one.

David.

I think you will find GLT struts different , the dampers have a different seat down in the tube and the dampers are a different rating of course .

Bob Meadows Mar 25th, 2019 21:40
