Are you planning on changing the nozzles? The k14 is man enough to take any amount of fuel the standard nozzles will allow.

Instead of fooling the map sensor just replace it with a 3 Bar.

A MBC also helped a lot, the internal wastegate setup on the k14 is a little poor at controlling boost. I got lots of creep before but now upto full pressure quicker and holding where I want it.

By far the best modification I made (most notable difference) was a 3"down pipe. I fabricated one myself but they may be available I'm not sure. This reduced egt dramatically and spool up was much quicker. Running 1.5 bar is more efficient too (cooler temps).

And remove rear silencer too.

Hi iam using the v70 d525 kkk k14 turbo on a t4 2.4 turbo conversion , iam having terrible trouble sourcing a standard v70 2.5inch downpipe , I saw u fabricated a 3inch one I have scoured eBay buy can find a flange for the k14 can u help please ....getting desperate .....Jon.

We milled the flange ourselves.

I don't have the k14 stuff now sorry. I may however be changing the 16t in the next month to something I believe is better and what I would now advise you try too. Using a standard volvo 850 /v70 tdi manifold a holset hx27w bolts straight on, this is good for 240bhp if you can give it enough fuel. A holset HE221W (super rare in this country) is a little slower spooling but good for 280+bhp. Getting flanges for these is easy as they use v band clamps. The hx27w is easy to find and pretty cheap too so unless your power goals are over 240 you'll be fine. You will need 0.260 nozzles for that too.

This is the flange you want http://www.ebay.com/itm/131759855057

That turbo will bolt on the standard manifold but you can get them for less money than that. There is one for about £100 at the moment, get it refurbished for £150-200, job done half the price. The only minor fab work you will have to do is a new bracket for the actuator as you will have to rotate the housing to fit your requirements, an easy job really.

This flange is cheaper and a genuine holset piece

Nice thread.

Wish would read this before digged into my D5252T powerstation.

I did something out of this either.

My setup: 0.260 HFlox nozzle set (currently these nozzles are sold at Darkside developments as Gibonta Race)
Hybrid turbo (K14/K16)
Custom exhaust
Remaped ECU (22PSI)
Custom charge hoses

Dyno runs
203Hp/423Nm with pistol diesel
216Hp/452Nm with pistol diesel mixed with cetane booster

No smokes at all, and runs like a charm

Hi, I'm new in this forum and I'm from France so sorry if I don't speak very well

So, I've a V70 mk2 D5252T and I'm looking for a bigger turbo. The Holset HE221W looks great but my question is at how many RPM does it wake up ?

Thanks
