Tailgate Courtesy light
 

I fitted a reversing camera to my 2018 xc60 a couple of weeks ago.
Whilst working around the interior trim of the tailgate I noticed a small plastic blank which I assume is for an additional courtesy lamp.
When removed it has a electrical connection behind it.
Before I remove one of the other boot lamps to see if it fits does anyone know if they are the same unit.

Further to my post, I bought a pair of boot courtesy lights off Ebay and replaced the two in the boot with these. They are much brighter. When I removed the blank in the tailgate I found the courtesy light fits perfect and the plug fitting is correct. However the connection is dead.
I am finding it difficult to locate any kind of technical information or schematics for the Volvo so I suspect I won't bother further.

Did you try it at night, interior lights do not come on in daylight, there is a light sensor fitted.

Good point, I assumed it would come on with the other boot lights.
