Clutch fork ball socket

Hi, does anyone know if it’s still possible to obtain the clutch fork ball socket that the fork pivots on? The one on my 64 1800s is shot, they are shown on the Skandix site but listed as discontinued, failing that any one have any ideas?

Do you want the ball (the screw part with the ball on the end)?

I'm pretty sure the covers and clips that hold the fork in place are available.

Hi,
No that bit is fine, that’s the ball bolted to the bell housing. I’m after the cup that fits in the hole on the fork, you can then push the cup onto the ball if that makes sense? Thanks for your interest btw

Skandix show it as a plastic looking thing but as I say it’s unavailable and brookhouse don’t list it, I’ll ring them on Monday however

This thread will give you more info and might help someone to find one if they have some bell housings with arms kicking about the shed. Not listed by CVI but worth a mail if Simon cannot help. Have you got the clip that retains it?

Yes I have the ball that’s fine, the fork seems to have an insert that wears out to save the fork, never mind I’ll call Simon on Monday, thanks for the reply

This is the part as listed on Skandix

87573 - mmm - there are a few hits on google for this in the US of A

It is a low cost part that wouldn't cost much to send

It would probably take months though

The washer needs the clip to retain it and this is what I asked. No clip and the arm can pop off the ball. The washer is only a retainer so within reason it's condition is moot, as long as it does its job.

Chri-s;

I agree with Derek...function of that is only to retain and locate Fork during Clutch release...it is not in compression during Clutch depression or working hard and if lubed should last a long time and should not wear particularly...

Cheers
