This car is interesting, as the registration PES808N implies a late car, yet it has quarter-light windows, whereas most/all? TEs were single-glass in the front doors. Its a year newer than my 164TE too, and that doesn't have quarter-lights. Still, I wish it was nearer me - no, truthfully I don't, as I wouldn't be able to resist buying it.
Stet - take that back, I would restore it OK so somebody offer to fetch it south for me please. There - now I've done it....

DVLA says first reg 30 August 1974 but it could be an import. Confirms that it was last taxed '82.

According to owner the car was sold last night. I really hope it didn't go to the dreaded banger racers, but at that low price I bet it did. Hope he offers unwanted bits (like interior) to 164 owners.

Hi, I bought it for my brother. It won't be banger raced. However, I feel sure my brother will be scouring these pages for guidance and bits.

As one always does with a newcomer to the garage..... I will be looking after it, and trying to ignore it to concentrate on my own volvo s, until my brother returns from abroad, in two and a half years....

In that case you have two and a half years to fix it.............
