Petrol S90/V90

Volvo is to offer new T4 petrol engine, to the S90/ V90 line up.
It's 187bhp turbo, with 8spd auto box.

Business users plain and simple, plus a cheaper headline cost.

With the move away from diesel I'm surprised that Volvo UK haven't introduced the T5 XC90 here. I can't see me buying a diesel ever again.

there is a T5, but as Lexman8 indicates, it's Volvo Uk that doesn't offer it.

Same goes for the T6 offered and pretty much all other markets, except the UK!

Again, Volvo UK dictating what they want the market to buy/drive....

They all do that, choice between 5 and 7 seats is another example.
But I often read that Volvo is to be blamed for it while, as you write, it's (in this case) Volvo UK's doing.

I was under the impression that the T5 and T6 designations used to apply to the number of cylinders on that particular car, and that it had been performance enhanced.
Using them now on a 4 cylinder engine doesn't make any sense to me, as the numbers don't relate to anything.

It's been known for quite some time that Volvo only produces 4 cylinder engines
(and of one and the same dispacement).
