Pcd adapters

Final got my pcd Adapters today (108 to 114.6) went to fit them and hit a snag. I didn’t know they ran studs from the hub! Any way I put on the Adapters today and found out the studs stick out past the spacers. Has any one else had this issue? Did you trim down the studs? Or make slots in the back of the wheel?

Do you mean the small screw-in prongs about an inch long, one per hub?
They date from the days when it was considered vital to balance wheels/tyres on the car, and wheels had a hole to ensure they always went back in the same position to preserve the balance.
No one does that now, so the prongs are redundant. Just replace with ordinary screws like the others.

The main problem here would be that most PCD adapters rely on cars using lug bolts rather than studs, the 240 has pressed in studs making it more involved to alter the PCD.

Hi, thanks for the reply’s. I am now going to machine some thicker spacers (30mm) to try and sort this this out. My wheels are 7j so not to wide.
