CarPlay MY20 V60/XC60
Does anyone know if CarPlay is now standard on the MY20 V60 or XC60? It doesn't show up as an option on the online configurator anymore.
I read that for Android Auto you need a USB hub installed but the Volvo website stays silent on car play. |
It is now included only if you upgrade the stereo to HK or B&W.
Best to ask the dealer to see if it can be added as option to the stock radio. |
Either way its pants away, as it only fills half the portrait screen, so I personally wouldnt bother or pay for it anyway. You can stream music via Bluetooth without the carplay
|
It's available as a £250 add-on extra if you dont go for BW or HK sound
|
I think it's not too bad that it only fills half of the screen. Plus, you get the chance to use Waze (which is way better the the default navigation app on the car) and the sound quality is definitely different when using Spotify directly on CarPlay vs bluetooth.

Google Maps will ALWAYS trump built in SatNav. Always up to date, live traffic and now even speed camera. It would be stupid to order it without (Actually the main reason I didn't go for an X3 or RX300. And yes implementation could be better (ie full screen), but blame that on the crappy Carplay. |

The top 4 lines are not Android Auto generated. |
Why would you play spotify via bluetooth. There is a Spotify app in the system
which sounds amazing if put in extreme setting. |
