FFS someone buy that and save it from a banger racing fate. I really dont want to have to buy another basket case and sort it out unless anyone fancies a (mostly) sorted V70R :)

To be fair, if its been stripped then its probably past the point of no return as there will be many "200 series limo" only type parts...

minesa240x3 May 11th, 2012 23:01

What a shame but definately saveable.Yes there will be 264TE specific parts missing but hey a whole car is worth saving surely.
The rear quarter windows would be a nitemare.Maybe plexi glass with a subtle tint to disguise it?
All other parts could come from a 240 or 260 from the same era and not be noticed.Be honest who or how may here know just what would be original. So unique parts would be?Rear quarter windows? Middle doors? Middle seating? Interior trim? Engine?.

Thanks Brian.

Try asking what happened to the parts, looks like the seller is a racer so could have stripped it himself, parts may still be sat in a skip at his yard or he may know what happened to them.

And its rare enough that even if it can't be restored 100% genuine it's still worth saving and doing your best with. Its mostly interior that will have been stripped and most parts can be copied or custom made, none of it is made out of gold or kryptonite.

The seller is Simon from Brookhouse so not a racer.

Shame that it had been stripped.
