Boot diferance?
 

is there any diferance on the boot lid between 850 models before 1995 and after 1995?
i have bought a spoiler for a 1996 model 850 but the holes wher i will have to drill to fit it 2 of them are aover the rear windscreen and would meen drilling through glass.

dont know if its different but my v70 spoiler looks to be held on with a bracket?

oh yeah i no the original ones are held on by brakets on the side but i wanted a diferant style spoiler. and this one needs drilling but 2 of the holes are over the glass. and i aint drilling my rear windscreeen

I think most of the spoilers are glued on with a small bracket for the wiring.

For the saloons atleast.

ok i no the original volvo spoilers on the estates are held on by metal brakets. what i want to no is is there a diferance in the boot door or windscreen between pre 1996 models to the post 1996 models.
does the glass not go up as far on the models after 1996?
just wondering why the blt holes on the spoiler sit on the glass as i have a 1995 model and it stated on the spoiler when i bought it for 1996 up models.

The rear hatches are the same on all the earlier models, even the V70.(phase 1)

Does your spoiler curve away from the glass (in the horizontal plane) across the main part of the window?

My '96 came with the roof spoiler, and it's not attached through the glass. Apart from anything else, if memory serves, rear windows are safety glass, and will shatter into tiny globules if you try to drill it.
