The wire I was looking for was much easier to find than what I expected. Removed the little cover on the o/s and found the wiring I was looking for, no guddling required in my case. It was just in front of me behind a bit of sound insulation. It even had a 12 volt supply to it.
Next is to find a suitable socket.
