I'm very interested as my Sister is looking at XC90 D5s

my poll is prompted by this thread

let's have a show of hands to get a clearer picture on this issue
feel free to add the cost of repair to your reply

if it is a problem but not a big ££££'s Problem, then not so bad in the grand scheme of things

thank you all in advance

2004 54 plate SE D5 auto 78K

Still going strong - no issues at all - well tested again today in the torrential rain.

I have not had the awd problems, but believe the problem mainly affects the earlier models (pre-2007)

i may have a similar problem.i only have 2wd but the propshaft wont turn when standing so the spline situation seems to be ok.is replaceing the o/p sensor a big job ???.any info would be much appreciated.

As yours is a t6 peter then it doesnt have a splined sleeve and uses a chain to get drive to the prop shaft. You will have to check the hadlex unit which is in the rear sub assembly.

New propshaft required ... £1211. Owned car for 4 weeks ... very unhappy to say the least!!:B_rant:

PS its an XC90 05 T6
