C30 Buying Guide

Hello,

Wondering if anyone has any links to a buying guides or things to look out for on these C30s? Either pre- or post-facelift, likely the 1.6 PSA lump or the 2.0 derv.

Thanks,
Cookeh

they share engines with the s40/v50 and there is a list of Which to avoid in one of the v50/s40 threads (basically Any PSA engine there ****e)

most of the car is the same so you can apply pretty much all the electronics, trim etc as per the V50/s40 ditto suspension brakes ,,
really is Just the body shape thats "c30"

PSA engine is OK if it's been looked after, but it's not a very tolerant engine.

Biggest issue with C30s is them being full of water - sunroof drains, rear light seals or more alarmingly the windscreen adhesive are all culprits. There's a lot of foam under the carpets which soaks it up nicely and makes getting it all out rather a slow job.

The R-Design "leather" seats do not wear well either, expect to see lots of ripped and discoloured ones.
