EGR valve cleaning opinions
 

Wondering what the views and opinions are on one of the mobile EGR cleanibg services - was considering it as A preventative as well as a maintenance -my 2008 D5 SE Sport is just heading up to 140k miles

Unless the EGR can be removed from the vehicle, don't bother
All those sprays are pretty much snake oil.

And removal means draining the coolant, as the EGR is water cooled
And once removed, a good inspection is required and replacement may be needed if the EGR cannot be brought to a freely moving state.
