Dog Guard Advice (or supply...)

1 Attachment(s)
can anyone help, please?

I'm about to acquire a 1985 245 and I'm after a dog-guard (for the luggage area).

It doesn't have rear headrests so will be a pain to get an aftermarket generic one as they rely on fixing to the back of the headrests (and I'd rather not have one of those with telescopic struts that wedge between floor and headlining).

Does anyone have one either available for sale or can supply me with a photo of one in situ showing the mounting detail?

I don't have the car yet but attached is a shot taken at viewing showing the potential lower mounting points on the seat back and there are substantial bolts above the window (one just visible RHS of photo).

Many thanks,
David

I can't help with finding one for sale, though they do appear here occasionally. Mine is a 1992 model, and the fixings on the seat seem to be lower down than yours, though I guess the roof hinges are the same. There should also be two plastic clips, which I've never managed to acquire, unfortunately, for holding the guard in the 'up' position.

I don't know if headrest pads are any use to you but I have a set of four which I keep meaning to put on Ebay - though it looks as if you only need two, unless you're planning to acquire some more for the back seat.

Thanks, Angie-
I'll wait until I get it and give it a good going over!
