Which stereo system do I have?
Just trying to work out which stereo system I have? Whether is the performance etc?
Is there any way you can work this out? |
You could always run an autoDNA report. I did it before buying my car and it contained information on all the equipment it came with, including the audio system.

Turn the Radio on, the welcome screen Tells you what system it is
|
If the welcome screen is just a picture of a car and doesn't state "High Performance" or "Premium" then you have the basic "Performance" audio.

I read somewhere that SE lux models come with an uprated ssytem as standard but mine is an SE lux and no wording comes up. still happy with the sound as it is :)

Model Year 2011, SE, SE Lux and R-Design all came with High Performance Sound Audio System as standard. Only the basic ES trim came with the lower Performance version. Model Year 2009, Performance was standard across the whole range (S, SE, SE Lux, R-Design Sport and R-Design SE Sport), with High Performance Sound Audio System being a £300 upgrade (Dynaudio Premium audio system was a £1,150 upgrade). |
I just wish they'd offered some EQ settings in the base level stereo.
As an entry level offer, it's not bad in terms of bass/volume but desperately needs fine EQ adjustment. Have to admit, going from the 13-speaker Dolby Pro Logic II stereo in my old S60, to the entry level stereo in my S40 T5 was tough to adjust to... |
