Which sc805
 

Trying to find a sc 805 for my 850 ive found 3 part numbers can anyone tell me the diffrence

Part number 3533776-5

All will plug straight in and work in your car, assuming the wiring hasn't been butchered.

The Volvo 850/960 type are black with gold Premium Sound System script on them and different internally from the V70 type. In my experience, from a sample of one, they aren't too keen on CD-Rs. They are rare and tend to cost more.

The most common ones are the grey V70 type, you often see them in 850s but they don't look quite right to some eyes.

I believe there is also a black non-Premium Sound System version, which would account for the third part number.

I'm afraid I don't know which part number is which though.

I've looked up on VIDA and found these numbers, though they don't have the suffix that you've found.

Part number 3533959 is the black 850 type, I don't know if it's "Premium" or not.

Part number 3533776 is the grey V70 type.

I can't see anything about the other number, I assume it's a colour you'd find in a V40 or something.

I've got the 3533711 part number which is premium but looks like it's a dark grey and not black like the volvo 850 sc801 model radio not quite right colour for 850
Is the 3533959 the same black as the sc801 premium head unit

The dark grey model was fitted to the V40. It is a distinct colour and as you say, 'would not look right in an 850'.

I think so. I have the remains of one in the shed, I'll have a look tomorrow to see what number it is.

What went wrong with the one you've got

Something went wrong when I was changing a bulb and all the smoke got out.

I managed to make the front fit a V70 version, which was a bit of a faff but not too hard.
